GAU 017-01-02 detects Complement Component C3a/C3a (desArg) in human samples.
GAU 017-01-02 has been successfully used in ELISA and Western blot procedures. GAU 017-01-02 can be used as a detection antibody in sandwich ELISA with GAU 013-16-02 as a capture antibody.
This antibody detects an epitope that is present on human C3, C3a, and C3a (desArg), but does not cross react with C4a or C5a.
NOTE: Concentration is lot-dependent and can vary from 0.85-1.15 mg/mL
Target Information
Complement component C3 plays a central role in the activation of complement system. Its activation is required for both classical and alternative complement activation pathways. People with C3 deficiency are susceptible to bacterial infection.
